Did you know?
- Unlike in coffee, the caffeine in tea is released slowly into the body, allowing us to stay active and concentrated without getting overexcited.
- Tea is naturally rich in vitamin C, containing about 250mg per 100g of fresh leaves.
- Consuming five cups of tea daily for several months can help reduce bad cholesterol and prevent cardio-vascular diseases.
- After a meal, it is best to wait 40 minutes before drinking tea, as this gives the body time to fully assimilate nutrients such as iron.
- The astringent nature of tea helps cell tissues to contract. Using it in the bath allows your skin’s pores to constrict, and using it to rinse your hair gives a smooth and shiny finish.
