What are the Conditions and Cancellation Policy?

  • Must be 19 years or older.
  • Two towels and a lock are provided; robe rental included with massage packages only.
  • Bathing suit mandatory and sandals recommended.
  • Rates per person, taxes not included.
  • Prices subject to change without notice.
  • Reservation required for massages. No reservation accepted for Baths.
  • Registered Massage Therapy massages are only available at regular price – no discounts applicable. 
  • Payment due at the time of booking. Credit cards accepted include Visa, Master Card, Amex.
  • No refund on cancellation or modifications within 48 hours of the scheduled massage.
  • In order to maintain a relaxing environment and to preserve the quality of your experience, we do ask that you respect our code of silence when on site.
  • Access to the Scandinavian Baths may be limited, which could result in a wait period.

Are the treatments provided reimbursable by my private group insurance?

All our massage therapists are certified by a massage therapy association to ensure highest quality standards. For receipts for insurance purposes you must book our Registered Massage Therapy package

What are your opening hours?

Our opening hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., rain or shine, every day of the week. Massages start at 9 a.m

How far ahead should reservations be made?

Please note that we do not take advance reservations for the Baths. If you would like a massage package, we recommend reserving two weeks ahead, for best availability.

What should I bring?

Upon your arrival, we provide two towels per person and a padlock for your locker. You should bring your bathing suit and sandals. These items can also be found at our boutique. Water fountains are at your disposal on site.

Since your facilities are outdoors, what happens in rain or poor weather?

The Scandinavian Baths are open year-round, rain or shine. Our facilities have been designed so that you can enjoy your hydrotherapy experience regardless of the weather. In case of a thunderstorm, the Baths may be closed.

Can we eat on site?

For a bite to eat during your experience, a bistro is on site. We offer sandwiches, salads, cookies, small treats, fruit juices, tea and coffee.

Please note that food cannot be brought into the spa and guests do not have in-and-out privileges.

Q:

Are alcoholic drinks allowed?

No. We advise strongly against alcohol consumption during any hydrotherapy experience, which is why it is strictly forbidden on site. Management reserves the right to prohibit access to clients who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.

Are children allowed on site?

Access to the site is reserved for people 19 and over.

Q:

I am pregnant. Can I have a massage anyway? Is it possible to enter the Baths?

Yes our Prenatal package is suitable for women who are pregnant. This package is performed by our Registered Massage Therapists who have been trained to give massages for expecting mothers to be. While these massages are available to women who are more than 13 weeks pregnant, it is important to mention how far along your pregnancy is when booking.

The Baths are not recommended for pregnant women because the sudden changes in temperature can lead to complications. Please consult your doctor.

Can I receive care if I am under medication or suffering from certain health problems?

If you are taking medication or have particular health problems (such as cancer), therapeutic treatments are perhaps best avoided. A note from your doctor may be requested by your massage therapist. You must make your health condition known, in particular by providing accurate answers on the health sheet we ask all clients to fill out before their massage.

The Scandinavian Baths may present risks for people suffering from angina, heart or respiratory problems, diabetes, hyper- or hypotension, especially when these conditions are viewed as serious and uncontrolled.

In case of doubt as to your condition, ask for your doctor’s opinion.

Is it necessary to get fully undressed to receive care?

Our therapist team works professionally with the greatest respect for each individual. A sheet covers you at all times to respect your privacy. Only the area being massaged is uncovered. It is more comfortable to receive a massage when no clothing is worn, but we respect the choice of our clients who prefer to keep clothes on.

Do you accept groups? Do you have special group rates?

Scandinave Spa offers advantageous rates on Baths Access for groups of 10 or more people. Also, up to 18 people may receive massages during the same reservation time.

Gift Card Policies

The Scandinave Spa Whistler offers a variety of gift cards from services to monetary value cards. Gift cards can be purchased by contacting the Scandinave Spa Whistler or via our website. Gift cards purchased through Scandinave Spa Whistler are only redeemable at the Scandinave Spa Whistler,  they are non refundable and non redeemable for cash. Please note that gift cards for services such as a Swedish massage package are subject to a one-year expiry date from date of purchase. Monetary value Cards such as a $100 gift card do not expire.
