Warm the Body
The first step of the hydrotherapy experience is to warm the body for approximately 10 to 15 minutes to increase blood flow to the skin and muscles. By raising the body temperature it creates a sensation of deep relaxation and stimulates the immune system. The use of hot water works to cleanse the skin, improve physical conditioning and promote a sense of well-being.

Refreshing Rinse in Cold Water
The second step of the Scandinavian bath spa experience includes closing the pores of the skin with a brief (20 to 30 second) but highly beneficial cold rinse. Cold water helps to reduce inflammation and stimulates circulation which then boosts the immune system.

The final step of the experience is giving yourself a minimum of 15 minutes to relax. Allow your body to feel the great benefits and sensations from doing the hot and cold sequence.
