An age old Finnish tradition
Also known as onsen, hamman, hot springs or Finnish sauna, the use of Baths is an ancient practice that dates back thousands of years. In Scandinavian countries, the sauna is a place to be at ease with family and friends in search of physical and mental relaxation.
What is hydrotherapy?
Hydrotherapy is whereby the thermal recuperative and healing properties of water are used to revitalize and restore health. Hydrotherapy uses hot and cold stimuli to elicit specific reactions from the body to relieve stress, soothe the skin and muscles, calm the organs and improve circulation.
Alternating hot and cold water maximizes both effects and can also decrease inflammation.
Eco Spa
We believe that sustainability is essential to the nature spa experience. We provide re-useable bags and stainless steel water bottles in lieu of plastic, our staff uniforms are made from sustainable fibers, our ‘green’ roof ensures efficient heating, cooling and insulation, and we use only water-saving appliances and irrigation systems. These are only a few of the ways we demonstrate our commitment to the continued enjoyment of our beautiful natural surroundings.
Water Quality
Every Scandinave Spa location uses a state-of-the-art computerized system that verifies the phyto-chemical composition of the Baths (including pH and chlorine levels) and adjusts them continuously, 24 hours a day. Our technical team then double-checks this data four to six times a day, which is twice as often as the law requires. Control records are available to our clients at the reception desk and our experts are on hand to answer all of your questions.

The value of silence
In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness. Silence is a Source of great strength. We believe silence is essential to the experience of the Scandinavian baths. By embracing silence one finds inner stillness leading to complete relaxation.
