2 Cold Water Benefits You Should Embrace.

Did you know that taking a cold shower is good for the body (and mind)? After checking this article out, you should not see cold water the same way…

Let’s face it, diving into cold water is never fun. But cold water has so much to offer! That’s why hydrotherapy always includes a source of cold water to complete the experience.

BETTER THAN COFFEE.

Ideal to start the day, the cold water stimulates the body and acts as a “booster” to tone the body. Good blood circulation is vital for overall cardiovascular health.

What does it mean exactly for your body?
When you immerse yourself in cold water, the blood rushes to surround your vital organs. The heart is forced to pump more efficiently, pushing blood through all your vessels. If you start this on a routine basis (30 sec every day), you could notice a difference in your body for sure.

When we have heavy legs, the return of blood to the heart sometimes hurts and can be painful.
Plunge your legs into cold water for a few seconds, it will help!

How to do it right at home?

  • Start your shower with hot water
  • Gradually make the water cooler
  • First rinse off your feet and your legs. Then start on your hands up to your shoulders.
  • Rinse the rest of your body with cold water.
  • Repeat these steps with warm water (much easier!) and rinse your whole body with cold water to finish!
  • Congrats!

STAY POSITIVE

The cold shower is good for morale and has a positive effect on people who suffer from depression.
Several studies show that cold water sends electrical impulses to the brain, which could have an antidepressant effect.
