Frequently asked questions

Do massage therapists have specific certification for prenatal massage?

Yes. Prenatal massages are provided exclusively by Registered Massage Therapists (RMT). RMT complete more than 3000 hours of professional training and must maintain active registration with CMTBC.

How will I be positioning myself during the massage?

Your Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) uses a variety of pillows and bolsters designed to provide support and comfort based on your stage of pregnancy, allowing you to be positioned on your back, side or face-down. They will adjust your positioning as needed throughout the session to ensure your comfort, relieve pressure on the abdomen, and support healthy circulation.

Is it mandatory to consult my doctor?

No. But some features on our site are not recommended for guests who are pregnant, we recommand to consult your health care provider for more information.

When should I arrive for my reservation?

You can arrive to enjoy the thermal journey up to 2 hours before your massage, according to opening hours.

While thermotherapy is not recommended during pregnancy, you can take this moment to recharge before your baby arrives. Our silent, screen-free environment lets you fully disconnect and unwind.

Please note that guests must check-in a minimum of 30 minutes prior to your massage therapy appointment. If you are late for your massage, the missed time cannot be recovered during the session.

Is it eligible for insurance reimbursement?

Yes. Only Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) can provide a Prenatal massage.

Your insurance receipt will be provided at the end of your treatment and will reflect the price of the massage portion of your package as listed on the rates page.

Treatment receipts are accepted by most extended health plans, so your massage may be partly or fully reimbursed. Check your plan for details.
