There is no better way to complement a long hike, a day of skiing or a period of relaxation than to indulge in a soothing massage. Our registered massage therapists are skilled in various traditional therapeutic massage techniques, all offered in tandem with the Scandinavian Baths experience.
Swedish
The different manoeuvres of this massage are designed to ease tension caused by stress, injuries or poor posture. Along with stimulating blood circulation and restoring flexibility to body movements, it procures an overall sensation of blissful relaxation. Treatments of 60 or 90 minutes include access to the baths.
Hot Stone
A massage that promotes deep relaxation. The basalt stones are heated in water, then placed on specific points on the body to warm the muscles. Next, sliding pressure exerted with various sized oiled stones promotes relaxation of tight muscles. Chilled stones applied to the face end the session with an invigorating sensation. Massage therapy with stones is beneficial for blood circulation, the lymphatic system, and the immune system. Each 90-minute treatment includes access to the baths.
Thai Yoga
This massage is an invigorating experience inspired by Thai techniques. As an initiation or a complement to yoga, this massage realigns your energy and revitalizes your soul. Manipulations are done on the floor, therefore comfortable clothing (long pants) is recommended. This 90-minute treatment includes access to the Baths.
Deep Tissue
Strongly recommended for persistent and/or recurrent muscular pain, this type of massage aims to loosen deep muscles. The actions are gentle and concentrated on a single part of the body that requires specific attention. The loosening results allow the muscle to regain its freedom of movement. Little or no oil is used. This 60 or 90 minutes treatment includes access to the baths.
All our massages are certified by a massage therapy association and all of our registered massage therapists can issue receipts for insurance purposes. Please go to your massage room waiting area ten minutes before your scheduled appointment to fill out the health questionnaire.
