An authentic tradition
Nestled on the shores of the Diable River, Scandinave Spa Mont-Tremblant offers the rejuvenating experience of Scandinavian Baths in a peaceful and natural environment. Invigorate and cleanse your body and mind in a cycle of hot baths, refreshing rinses and rest. Then melt away with a relaxing massage while breathing in the invigorating country air.
An age old Finnish tradition
Also known as onsen, hamman, hot springs or Finnish sauna, the use of baths is an ancient practice that dates back thousands of years. In Scandinavian countries, a sauna is a place to be at ease with friends or family in search of physical and mental relaxation.
What is hydrotherapy?
Hydrotherapy is whereby the thermal recuperative and healing properties of water are used to revitalize and restore health. Hydrotherapy uses hot and cold stimuli to illicit specific reactions from the body to relieve stress, soothe the skin and muscles, calm the organs and improve circulation.
Cold is stimulating, and therefore causes superficial blood vessels to constrict, shunting to the blood to internal organs. Hot water, in contrast, relaxes and causes blood vessels to dilate. Alternating hot and cold water maximizes both effects and can also decrease inflammation.
There is nothing like the sights, sounds and scents of nature to help you escape from your everyday routine. The moment you walk into the spa’s rustic environment, birds hidden in the trees will welcome you. Feel the leaves, branches and stones at your feet. Smell the tall trees forming a canopy above you. Let your cares melt away in the outdoor Scandinavian Baths as you breathe in the enchanting rhythms of nature.
We believe that sustainability is essential to the nature spa experience. We provide reusable bags. We only use water-saving appliances and irrigation systems. These are just some of the ways we demonstrate our commitment to the continued enjoyment of our beautiful natural surroundings.
Every Scandinave Spa location uses a state-of-the-art computerized system that verifies the phyto-chemical composition of the baths (including pH and chlorine levels) and adjusts them continuously, 24 hours a day. Our technical team then double-checks this data four to six times a day – twice as often as the law requires. Control records are available to our clients at the reception desk, and our experts are on hand to answer all your questions.

The value of silence
By remaining silent, the soul finds a path in a clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clarity. Silence is a source of great strength. We believe that silence is essential to the enjoyment of the Scandinavian baths experience. By embracing silence one finds inner stillness, leading to complete relaxation.
