  1. Where is the staff housing located?
    • Staff Housing currently has four separate locations. On-Site, Emerald, Cheakamus and Upper Village.
  2. Are there private rooms available?
    • There is limited availability for private rooms. Most of our on-site accommodation is shared.
  3. How much is rent?
    • Rent varies depending on the size of the unit as per the Whistler Housing Guidelines. Generally speaking, price ranges from $450 to $575 for a shared and $650 to $900 for a private room.
  4. For how long may I stay?
    • You may stay in staff housing for 12 months from signing your lease assuming you still work at the Scandinave. But leases are signed per season and will finish at the end of April or at the end of September.
  5. Can I change accommodation?
    • Residents are allowed one room change per year.
  6. What are my public transport options/journey duration to work if living off-site?
    • Cheakamus
      • Cheakamus is a 20-minute drive from the spa. It is located south of the spa and south of Whistler village. Via public transport you usually need to get 2 buses, one from Cheakamus to the village (no. 20) and one from the village to Spruce Grove/Nesters recycling centre (no. 30, 31, 32, 33). Total journey time can be just over an hour. During the winter season, the No.10 valley express runs along the highway sporadically and is significantly quicker as it requires 0 change-overs and doesn’t go through the village.
    • Emerald
      • Emerald is a 10 minute drive from the spa. It is located north of the spa and the village. Via public transport you can take the 30, 31, 33. Total journey time for public transport + walking is around 45 minutes.
    • Upper Village – Marquise
      • The Marquise is a seven minute drive from the spa. It is located in upper village, near the base of Blackcomb Mountain. Via public transport (No. 30, 31, 33) including walking it takes around 35 minutes to get to and from the spa. 
  7. Is there free parking for staff available on-site?
    • Yes, parking is available for staff on-site, please see HR to get your parking pass and for more information.

Full Time (32-40 hours a week): Seasonal commitment (October until end of April or May until September/October)

Must be available a minimum of two nights and one weekend day
